I'm Jim Yannakas. A wedding filmmaker passionate for unique stories. Your story!
My main aim as a wedding videographer is to produce a cinematic yet authentic memory of the wedding day. I work so as my films are stylish, filled with all the emotions of the day while having a cinema aesthetic.
I use every tool and technique at my disposal, from lens choise in a certain moment, to framing a shot and capturing ambient sounds together with carefully selected music, to create a piece of work that feels like a mini-movie, establishing people, place and story as elegantly as possible.
I use minimal equipment and avoid stage managing during the wedding day in any way because the most important element of making a great film is authentic moments and emotions and the only way to achieve these is allow them to happen naturally. Posing and discreet direction are left for prewedding or day-after sessions when specific story elements have to be infused to the final film.
I understand that every wedding is unique, and so I approach each event with this in mind. Wherever your wedding or elopement is taking place overseas or at the beautiful scenery of my home country - whether it is a one day or multi day event, I would love nothing more than to help capture and preserve the most beautiful moments from your special event in my own unique way.
